UPAC installs automated parking system in Kuwait airport
JEDDAH, December 1, 2015
United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC), a leading commercial real estate and facilities management company, has completed the installation of Phase Two of an automated car-parking system at the Kuwait International Airport, according to a report.
The car-park system is aimed at streamlining vehicle traffic in and out of the car-park and reduce congestion, especially during peak hours and busy travel seasons, said the Saudi Gazette report.
It includes two auto pay units in the airport terminal, it said.
The units will reduce waiting time for visitors, who can now pay their parking fees at the auto pay units before exiting the airport terminal and leave the parking faster via one of the three dedicated auto pay exits.
“We are excited to be the first company to introduce this advanced car parking technology to Kuwait. At UPAC, our priority is to manage the airport efficiently and that includes ensuring visitors have the best experience," Nadia Akil, chief executive officer, was quoted as saying.
"We are confident the new automated car park technology will make parking at Kuwait International Airport more user-friendly, smoother and quicker,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
