Palma's Dubai residential project on track

DUBAI, March 22, 2016

UAE-based Palma Development said the construction work at its premier housing complex, Serenia Residences, is progressing well with 25 per cent of its raft casting already completed.

A premium community development in Dubai, Serenia Residences features residential apartments and penthouses close to the water’s edge on Palm Jumeirah Crescent, said a statement from the developer.

Its prime location and wealth of high level amenities will see it as the most exclusive beachfront residence in the city, stated Palma Development.

Designed by famous architect Hazel Wong, the 850,000-sq-ft development comprises 250 units, with apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms and penthouse suites.

The UAE developer said the Serenia Residences is exclusively residential and features contemporary architecture and layouts unique to the Palm Jumeirah.

Khansaheb has been assigned as the main contractor for its exclusive Serenia Residences, the sole residential-only community to take up space on Palm Jumeirah’s Crescent.

Kareem Derbas, the chief executive and co-founding partner of Palma Holding, said: "With a value of Dh400 million ($109 million), Khansaheb is well on track to successfully completing Serenia Residences, within a timeframe of around 22 months from the date of signing."

"Basement-to-ground-floor columns and core wall construction have started, while waterproofing and retaining wall works are ongoing," he added.

Hassan Nia, the chief executive of Banian FZCO, said: "We are extremely pleased with the progress of the development till date. The project is well on its way to completion and the construction is on track for a timely delivery.”

In addition, the slipform systems have been successfully installed, and the crane installations are also in progress, he stated.

Streamlined procurement processes are under way and an MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) contractor has been awarded and mobilised to the site, said the statement from Palma Development.

In addition, a 500-strong manpower team, including an aluminium and glazing contractor, has been enlisted to assist in the construction process, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
