IDB to finance $142m loan for Tehran WWTP project

Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will meet 125 million euro ($142 million) of the credit needed for Tehran sewage treatment projects, said a top official.
The credit will be spent on the project for establishment of a tunnel for transfer of sewage in the western part of the capital city to the Western Tehran Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the sewage treatment centre in the southwestern part of the city, deputy head of Tehran Sewage Treatment Company for Engineering and Development Affairs Farhad Jalali Amin was quoted as saying by Irna.
The official said the IDB has thus far paid a portion of the cash and the rest will be provided gradually as the project advances.
