State oil giant Saudi Aramco has awarded Australia's WorleyParsons a contract to provide engineering and design services for offshore facilities and pipelines for the Marjan oilfield expansion, Reuters reported, citing sources with knowledge of the matter. 

 

As per the deal, WorleyParsons will design and engineer new offshore facilities such as platforms and additional pipelines, under the contract.

 

The Saudi oil giant is expanding the Marjan oilfield to meet increased local demand for gas.
