Geze launches new solutions for 'smart buildings'

DUBAI, October 26, 2017

Geze, one of the world's leading developers of construction systems for doors, windows and safety technology, has introduced its new range of Cockpit building automation system and interface modules in the region.

The Cockpit Control and related product categories were officially launched in the Middle East at the annual Window, Doors and Facades exhibition, held recently in Dubai.

With the launch of these products, new opportunities will be created in smart buildings for convenient, secure and energy-saving building operation, said a statement from Geze.

The underpinning aspects of 'smart buildings' is ensuring there is a synergy when it comes to HVAC technology within the infrastructure, it stated.

Geze said it is bringing together these more traditional technologies in building automation with modern innovation solutions by integrating automated doors and windows.

The company said its multifunctional door and window systems can be integrated seamlessly into the existing building infrastructure to optimize automation through network solutions across all product categories.

The Cockpit is used to centrally control and monitor all the Geze products from the areas of door, window and safety technology with the use of separate software applications, said the company in its statement.

Within this category, the BACnet and KNX can be installed and utilized together- the two most popular, open communication protocols in building automation in the world.

In exactly the same way, the BACnet building controller enables the simple integration of GEZE Cockpit into the building management system across all product categories.

With the new system, the 'complete intelligence' of the products can be incorporated into the building network for the first time: doors and windows can be controlled 'intelligently' together with other participants of the system. Data exchange between Geze Cockpit and the integrated doors and windows is carried out via the IO 420 BACnet interface module, said the statement.

"Intelligent building automation systems can significantly reduce energy consumption and even bring down operational costs in the long run without sacrificing comfort," remarked Charles Constantin, the managing director of Geze Middle East.

"We offer you building automation systems for all building types, sizes, and for every use. Thanks to Geze's robust open communication standards and interfaces you can integrate a wide choice of different building control disciplines including centralized, intelligent energy management and highly efficient and innovative energy and cost saving functions." added Constantin.-TradeArabia News Service
