Bahrain to showcase housing achievements at US event

Bahrain’s housing strides will be showcased tomorrow (July 17) Tuesday, at the headquarters of the International Peace Institute (IPI) in New York, US.
The Ministry of Housing will be holding a discussion session themed “Decent, Secure and Affordable Housing, Cornerstone of Sustainable Development”, reported the BNA.
A key highlight will be the presentation of Bahrain’s first voluntary report on the implementation of the goals of sustainable development 2030.
Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa will chair Bahrain’s high-level delegation at the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development which runs till July 18 in New York.
Housing Minister Basem bin Yacoub Al Hamer will outline Bahrain’s strides and the ministry’s strenuous efforts and dedicated plans to provide citizens with decent housing, said the BNA report.
Al Hamer will also shed light on Bahrain’s ambitious plans to constructed new world-standard towns in line to the 11th Sustainable Development Foal set by the United Nations as part of the 2030 Agenda, it added.
