SSH, a leading masterplanning, infrastructure and project management company in the region, has been awarded a contract by Omani Civil Service Employees Pension Fund to deliver design and construction supervision services for a mixed-use project in the Ghala Heights area of Muscat in Oman.

Conveniently located 5 km from Muscat International Airport, this new development will offer guests a four-star deluxe hotel with 282 guest rooms and 58 serviced apartments, said a statement from SSH.

Three luxury residential apartment blocks accommodate a total of 144 apartments that are located over a four-storey podium, with three floors of office space and a high-ground floor retail zone, it stated.

Basement parking reaching over three levels provide for 1,200 car parking spaces as well as operational management facilities, including security, maintenance, refuse and delivery, the statement added.

Omar Nuri, the general manager for Oman, said: "With its vast industry experience and quality service delivery, SSH will strive to make the Ghala Heights development an iconic destination of choice for both Omani nationals and expatriate communities, adding yet another landmark to Muscat’s city skyline."

"Once complete, the development will cover 146,000 sq m of built-up area within a site of 21,480 sq m," stated Nuri.
