
Bostik, Gerflor to set up flooring plant in Saudi Arabia

Bostik, a leading global adhesive specialist in the construction, consumer and industrial markets, is set to start its first production unit for flooring systems in Saudi Arabia, in partnership with Gerflor Middle East.
Gerflor is a global leader in manufacturing and marketing decorative and sustainable flooring solutions and wall finishes, with an established footprint in Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.
It develops specific flooring and wall solutions to meet every indoor market application need in housing, healthcare, education, sport and hospitality.
Founded in 1889, Bostik is a unit of Arkema, a specialty chemicals and advanced materials company headquartered in Paris, France.
Bostik said it celebrated the Gerflor partnership with the signing of a manufacturing and distribution agreement and the kick-off event of the first production unit in Saudi Arabia.
Thanks to the localization of Bostik Wall & Floor systems, Bostik and Gerflor will support the development of their customers in the region, with a complete offer, providing high standards quality solutions, technical and logistic services, said the statement.
Bostik and Gerflor Middle East ambitions stand within Saudi Arabia Vision 2030, to be a pioneer and model of excellence in their field of expertise, it added.
On the key partnership, Gerflor (Middle East) Executive Director Mohamad Al Bassam said: "We have been serving the wall and floor industry since 1977 and are excited to join forces with Bostik."
"The combination of Gerflor and Bostik expertise will enable us to complete our offer with high standard quality solutions, creating new opportunities in Saudi Arabia," he added.
