Sharjah Executive Council has approved the list of beneficiaries (those with a monthly income of less than AED25,000), who will given housing grants this year towards new construction, completion, addition and maintenance of housing in various regions of the emirate.

 

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and SEC Chairman at the Sharjah Ruler’s office in the presence of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and SEC Deputy Chairman.

 

The council reviewed a number of issues on its agenda concerning the emirate's various affairs. It also issued a number of resolutions that would achieve the vision of Sharjah and provide services to its citizens and residents, reported state news agency Wam.

 

Following the directives of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, SEC approved the list of those citizens whose housing subsidy decision had been amended to a grant from a loan.

 

The council also gave the go-ahead to adding 3 more sites for recreational fishing activities in the emirate - Sharjah, Kalba and Al Hamriyah.
