Gyproc, a leading manufacturer and supplier of sustainable, innovative, lightweight interior building systems, has been signed up by Sofitel to provide drywall partition and ceiling requirements at one of its projects in Dubai. 

 

The SO/ Uptown Dubai will feature a 188-key five-star luxury hotel and 229 signature SO/branded residences. 

 

Working closely with its partners Interiors International and MRFS Interior Decoration under the coordination of Besix, a wide range of Gyproc solutions will be in action on the property.

 

The ‘SO/‘ is Accor Hotels' luxury brand and this will be its Middle East debut.

 

Designed by AS+GG and constructed by Six Construct, Uptown Tower will be a Leed Gold certified building. The construction site holds a unique world record as well. 

 

The Uptown Tower will be 340 m high when complete and will sit at the heart of the Uptown Dubai district (previously ‘Burj 2020’ district) which will be a 24-hour neighbourhood brimming with dining and high-end retail outlets, hotels, and a central entertainment plaza.
