Abu Dhabi orders $602m housing loans, repayment waivers for Eid

DUBAI, May 10, 2021

Abu Dhabi has ordered the disbursement of housing loans worth AED2.21 billion ($602 million) to citizens of the emirate in addition to repayments waivers for the retirees and families of deceased mortgagors. 
 
A total of 1,656 citizens will get benefited from this move.
 
This comes under the directives of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, in a move coinciding with Eid Al Fitr.
 
The noble initiative comes in implementation of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's directives as part of the Ghadan 21, Abu Dhabi's accelerator programme, to increase home loans for Emiratis, it added.
