Universal Rolling (Unirol) the first manufacturer of steel reinforcement bars in Bahrain will be Steel Sector Sponsor for the Gulf Construction Expo, the Northern Gulf's leading annual exhibition.

 

Taking place at Bahrain International Exhibition Centre the Gulf Construction Expo will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, from March 22 to 24, said the event organisers Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE).

 

Along with this, Bahrain-based HCE will also be hosting Northern Gulf's two other leading annual exhibitions - The Gulf Property Show and Interiors Expo, stated HCE.

 

Announcing the tieup, Unirol plays an active role in the development of Bahrain’s infrastructure as a reliable supplier of reinforcement steel bars. The company is ready to supply the kingdom’s marque projects including the Metro and the new Bahrain-KSA causeway.

 

Operations Director Ali Der said: "2021 was a tough year for the steel sector as it was for all sectors of the economy. We approach 2022 with optimism and confidence brought about by the positive indicators in Bahrain’s economic recovery."

 

Last year, Unirol had focused on developing its products and upgrading its accreditation certificates.

 

The company has succeeded in obtaining Kuwait’s product quality certificate ISO 6935-2, and the recognition of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) with regard to technical requirements for iron bars in 2020. 

 

"Unirol products are proudly made in Bahrain, and we have achieved success in the export field. Our participation at Gulf Construction Expo will utilise the Expo to promote our brand as a reliable steel partner and supplier," he stated.

 

Both additions compliment their certifications portfolio, that includes the UK Cares certification and the ISO 9001 quality management system, he added.

The long-awaited construction showcase will be staged alongside its sister events- Gulf Property Show and Interiors Expo at the Bahrain International Exhibitions Centre next month, he stated.
