Taha boosts eco standards in line with Alba's guidelines

MANAMA, April 23, 2022

Bahrain-based Taha International Industrial Services company has announced that it has completed several advanced expansions and installations, which were carried out by Bahraini engineers and technicians from the company's cadres.

Taha operates under a patent technology that allows it to treat aluminum dross while reducing carbon emissions to near-zero levels.

This unique technique was developed in the kingdom, thus making it a 100% Bahraini product that is currently being used by an increasing number of aluminum smelters across the world.

These new expansions -according to Taha company- allow it to strengthen its leadership in innovation and apply the best international environmental standards in the field of processing "aluminum dross," following the requirements of  Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) in this field.

Taha CEO Ammar Awachi said the company had completed the most recent expansion of its kind in the aluminum dross processing line it receives from Alba, as well as providing this line with a central unit to pull and process the remaining dust produced following the best international specifications.

"We are proud to have relied on our national cadres to carry out this development with great precision and speed, achieving the greatest outcomes in terms of capacity growth and environmental considerations," stated Awachi.

According to him, the guidance of Alba company and its business model as the largest global company in the field of aluminum smelting has inspired Taha in its work and current and future plans, especially with its active management of "Cast House," in a way that holds other Bahraini aluminum companies that complement the work of (Alba) the responsibility of constantly upgrading the level of their work.

He also pointed out that Alba was always anxious to support and strengthen the capacities of national cadres in the aluminum sector.

Taha's Director of Engineering and Maintenance Engineer Ahmed Jabouri said the new expansion of Taha International Industrial Services was carried out after a thorough analysis of the latest global developments in the treatment of aluminum dross.

"The techniques used and adopted in this expansion are controlled and environmentally friendly, and enable partners to reduce their energy consumption, thereby reducing carbon emissions to a minimum," noted Jabouri.

Taha's five units for the treatment of aluminum dross are also fitted with a hydraulic system to ensure that work and customer service are maintained around the clock in the event of a technical failure, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
