Magnom joins forces with Unicef to empower Egyptian youth

CAIRO, February 8, 2023

Magnom Properties, a unit of Saudi-based Rawabi Holding Group and the developer of Forbes International Tower, is partnering with Unicef to support youth empowerment in Egypt, bridging the digital divide and providing a wide range of skills development opportunities to both girls and boys.

Solidifying a commitment to long-term sustainability, Magnom and Forbes had last month joined hands at the 53rd Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, to announce the construction of a new zero-carbon commercial tower in Cairo, Egypt, which will elevate standards of green design and push boundaries of modern construction.

Envisioned by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG Architecture), the planned ‘Forbes International Tower’ marks the start of a new era of building design.

A partnership agreement signed by Maged Marie, CEO of Magnom Properties, and Jeremy Hopkins, Unicef Egypt Representative in Geneva, Switzerland, launched the cooperation between the two parties, with Magnom Properties committing to investing in impactful initiatives to improve the lives of young people in Egypt.

Magnom Properties will support Unicef in implementing Egypt’s vision to provide internet access to less connected communities across the country and facilitate their acquiring of essential skills and opportunities within the digital realm.

The top developer said it will also collaborate with Unicef to facilitate access to information and digital training to young people, especially girls, to equip them with the necessary skills for better career opportunities and prospects of their choice.

CEO Maged Marie said: "As part of our CSR strategy to advance local communities and in line with the Sustainable Development Strategy worldwide and Egypt’s Vision 2030, this partnership with Unicef will accelerate our efforts to empower youth, especially young girls, through learning and skills development training."

"Digital skills are vital in today’s workplace and equipping young people with the tools needed to build and thrive in their careers will boost socio-economic outcomes and drive forward our country’s overall growth.” He added: “At Magnom Properties, we are especially committed to empowering young girls to bridge the gender gaps in the country’s labour force. I look forward to our collaboration with Unicef to elevate the lives of all youth and make a meaningful impact on the next generation of our society," stated Marie.-TradeArabia News Service
