Saudi design commission signs deal with RIBA

Saudi Architecture and Design Commission said it has signed a MoU with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) as part of its endeavour to enhance its global strategic partnerships and help attract the best international practices and experiences into the kingdom to develop the sector.
The signing ceremony was held at the institute's headquarters in London, where the commission was represented by its CEO Dr Sumayah Al Solaiman and the institute by its CEO Dr Valerie Vaughan-Dick.
Al Solaiman said this partnership was one of the commission's strategic plans to develop the sector.
"It will contribute to the transfer of the best practices in the architecture and design sector to reach the best standards of excellence with strategic partners in the sector to achieve the aspirations of the architecture and design community in the Kingdom to develop the sector," she added.
