Red Sea International Company (Red Sea) said it has secured a four-year contract from Baker Hughes, one of the world's largest oil field services companies, for management of its accommodation facilities in the Eastern Region.

 

Under the SAR32.23 million ($8.58 million) deal, Red Sea will design, manufacture, supply and operate a portable complex of prefabricated buildings for the US-based company and thus support its oil exploration operations in the region.

 

The facilities consist of many fully furnished prefabricated units, including offices, dining facilities, laundry, sports club and mosque, said the company in a statement to the Saudi bourse Tadawul.

 

High-quality materials will be used to withstand harsh weather conditions and requirements of constant movement to different locations.

 

The deal also entails full remote life support services, which include catering, laundry, housekeeping, pest control, and facility management, said the statement.

 

The related financial impact is expected to appear starting Q4 2024, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
