Worley lands Aramco general engineering services contract

RIYADH, March 13, 2024

Worley, a leading engineering group which provides project delivery services to the energy sector, has been awarded a general engineering services plus (GES+) contract by Saudi oil giant Aramco for another five years.

The contract, which has a potential for an extension of up to 3 one-year increments, renews the long-standing relationship between Aramco and Worley in relation to services provided under the GES+ contracts, said a statement from Worley.

The scope of work includes the provision of project management and engineering services to support Aramco’s capital programmes in Saudi Arabia across onshore, green and brownfield projects in gas, oil and new energy infrastructure.

Under the terms of the contract, Worley will continue to build its in-Kingdom engineering capabilities, with a focus on developing and using local talent to undertake more complex projects in the Kingdom.

Worley categorises this contract as traditional work in accordance with its definition of sustainability-related work2, remarked its CEO Chris Ashton.

"We’re pleased to continue our long-term relationship with Aramco to support the delivery of their capital programs through this contract renewal while expanding on our substantial in-Kingdom capability," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
