NCP launches bids for water, sewage plants at Saudi border
RIYADH, June 10, 2024
Saudi Arabia's National Center for Privatisation & PPP has invited Expressions of Interest(EoIs) from leading developers for the design, construction as well as operation and maintenance of water and sewage treatment plants at 10 border crossings across the kingdom.
The project will be tendered under a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain-Transfer (DBFOMT) model, with a contract duration of 15 years, including the construction period.
Through these projects, Zatca aims to provide quality water and sewage treatment services to government personnel working at the land ports, ensuring that the quality of life at the land ports meets the criteria set out by the Vision 2030.
The project will be implemented at 10 border crossings across the kingdom: Al Batha, Salwa, Al Khafji, Al Raqi, Jadidat Arar, Al Hadithah, Halat Ammar, Al Durrah, Al Wadiah, and the Empty Quarter.
This project entails the design, development, operation, and maintenance of water and sewage treatment plants, as well as associated networks and assets.
In addition to the above, the project involves overseeing the daily operations of the plants and related assets, management of network operations, recording and reporting on operations, and ensuring alternative water and sewage treatment supply in case of interruption.
The project scope includes preventive maintenance for plants, networks, and related assets, cleaning of civil structures and plants, provision of spare parts and replacements as well as recording and reporting of maintenance, execution of lifecycle replacements and repairs, and monitoring maintenance activities.
The deadline for submitting the EoIs has been set at June 30.-TradeArabia News Service
