NMDC Group, a leader in engineering, procurement, construction and marine dredging, has been awarded a AED130 million ($35.3 million) contract by Jubail Island Investment Company at its Abu Dhabi Mangrove development.

 

The project scope includes channel widening works in Area 2 and 3 within the mangrove, said NMDC in its filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

 

The entire contract work is likely to be completed in 180 days, it stated.

 

A leading provider of dredging, reclamation, and marine construction projects in the Middle East, NMDC has a strong local and regional presence with a number of upcoming projects in Southeast Asia and South Asia regions.

 

This win comes close on the heels of NMDC's snapping of a contract from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) for the construction of Al Nouf artificial island.

 

 As per the $137-million contract, NMDC will build an artificial island at Al Nouf located west of Abu Dhabi city.-TradeArabia News Service
