King Abdullah Gate at Grand mosque 'largest in world'

The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Gate is the tallest and largest gate of the Grand Mosque, and the largest in the world, reported SPA citing the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.
Distinguished by its modern architectural design and Islamic decorative art, the 14-tonne gate (Gate Number 100) stands tall at 13.3m high and 7.7m wide. is 13.3 meters high, 7.7 meters wide.
The massive gate features three external and three internal arches, topped by three balconies centered above the historic gate, stated the report.
Above these are two minarets taller than the others minarets of the Grand Mosque.
According to the Authority, the gate's magnificent construction and beautiful architecture have transformed it into a landmark.
The Grand Mosque has a total of 210 gates, equipped with digital panels that light green for worshippers to come in and red when the mosque is full, it added.
