Saudi Architecture Commission launches programme for local designers

RIYADH, August 20, 2024

The Saudi Architecture and Design Commission has announced the launch of Jusoor programme, one of the 'Designed in Saudi' initiatives which aim to foster collaboration between local creators, leading companies, and clients seeking innovative design.

The Jusoor programme links designers with businesses seeking innovative designs, enabling designers to turn their ideas into real products, as part of the commission's efforts to support local talent and helps designers produce market-ready designs, thus helping boost their careers, reported SPA.

It aims to foster long-term partnerships between designers and brands, providing support and resources for collaboration. It promotes creativity, innovation, and the development of unique designs that meet market needs.

Under this programme, brands can discover new design talent and adopt innovative designs.

Jusoor will be organising design competitions for renowned brands, offering local designers a chance to display their skills and compete through incentives.

It also offers special projects for top designers to work on for public and private clients, and includes mentoring sessions led by design experts to provide valuable advice, improve skills, and help grasp market insights, said the SPA report.

The programme is expected to witness broad participation from enthusiasts and innovators in the field, contributing to building bridges of communication and enhancing effective partnerships among stakeholders, it added.
