Oman awards $560m road development project tenders

Oman's Tender Board has awarded a number of tenders and additional works complementing different development projects worth around RO216.3 million ($560 million), reported Oman News Agency.
The tenders include the dualisation work on Izki-Nizwa road linking South Qarut, Birkat Al Mauz and Farq worth RO46.8 million as well as dualisation of the road between Raysut and Al Mughsail in Dhofar Governorate worth RO35 and other projects.
These were awarded during the Tender Board’s 4th meeting of the year (2024), chaired by Dr Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy, Chairman of the Board.
The Dhofar Municipality had recently announced a tender for the development of the waterfront in the Wilayat of Taqah as part of its regional tourism infrastructure development plan.
The Taqah waterfront infrastructure will be a comprehensive project spanning 96,250 sq m and boast nearly 2,973 m of the Wilayat’s coastline.
