Cairo, July 10, 2012
Egypt's core annual inflation slowed to 7.04 per cent last month from 7.22 per cent in May, the central bank said on its website on Tuesday.
Core inflation strips out subsidised goods and volatile items including fruit and vegetables, it stated.
Urban consumer price inflation, the most closely watched indicator of prices, also slowed, easing to 7.2 percent in the 12 months to June from 8.3 per cent in May.-Reuters
