Bahrain plans new technical education centres for girls

MANAMA, January 3, 2015

The Education Ministry is planning to turn a number of schools into technical education centres for girls in Bahrain.

Labs will be set up at the remodelled schools to provide 'soft specialities' for girls, including assembling and maintenance of PCs, laptops and smart and digital appliances, said a report.

'The remodelled schools will be supplied with equipment to keep pace with technical development,' Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.

He also said there are plans to link these schools with the Bahrain Training Institute, Bahrain Polytechnic and the University of Bahrain.-TradeArabia News Service
