All systems go for coming Getex Spring edition
, February 16, 2020
Organisers of the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (Getex), the Middle East’s longest-running student recruitment event, has announced preparations are well under way for the coming Spring edition of the event.
The event, which will take place from April 16 to April 18, 2020 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre (DICEC), is set to take place against the backdrop of an accelerating education sector in the UAE, fuelled in part by the evolving career trends and the strategic sectors that will influence career growth in the region.
This year's Spring edition proves to be both timely and strategic as it looks towards building on the rapid growth currently being seen by the education segment.
In fact, a recent report from leading market research and advisory company with global coverage Technavio forecasts that the local education market will witness a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of almost five per cent during the 2018-2022 period.
Anselm Godinho, from the organisers, said: “Getex continues to live up to its reputation of providing universities and training providers with the best opportunities of reaching out to a larger pool of undergraduate and postgraduate students eager to make an informed decision on the higher education options available to them.”
Godinho revealed the exciting new additions being offered at this year's edition of the event, including free-to-attend Culinary workshops, learning sessions on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics and introductory seminars hosted by participating colleges and universities. The exciting three-day event is set to attract the participation of over 150 Education providers. As a special lead up to the event, 100+ career counsellors, life-choice advisors and student counsellors are also being expected to take part in the 5th edition of the Getex Counsellors Forum which will be held on April 12, 2020.
“For the first time and unique to the region, Getex will also host an event titled ‘BRIDGE’, an Education Leaders Networking Evening for Heads of Schools, Tertiary and Occupational Education Providers. The platform will provide a much-needed interface for all those involved with education & training in an informal setting. We are looking forward to Getex and its role in promoting UAE as ‘a destination of choice for Education’ on par with Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and several countries in Europe,” concluded Godinho.
Getex will spill over into the weekend to also ensure that working adults do not miss the opportunity to explore their further education and CPD options. -- Tradearabia News Service
