Saudi Bar Association issues first legal clinic licence

The Saudi Bar Association has issued a licence to the College of Law at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University to launch a legal clinic affiliated to the college.
The legal clinic is a non-profit facility affiliated to a scientific entity, a university or an institute, related to legal and Sharia specializations. It provides legal aid services and free legal advice in accordance with the standards set by the Saudi Bar Association, said a Saudi Press Agency report.
It also provides legal assistance to eligible categories, training and raising the level of graduates of law and Sharia faculties, developing effective communication and supporting a trainee in acquiring legal and judicial expertise and skills prior to joining the labor market.
This licence is the first of its kind, issued by the association for the legal clinic in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after verifying the necessary requirements according to the regulation of legal clinics.
