MANAMA, June 14, 2023
Foulath Holding, an industrial holding company with major steel investments, has employed over 160 Bahraini graduates from its Graduate Training Programme since the scheme’s inception in 2016.
The training programme, which is geared towards the technical and soft skill development of fresh graduates, has empowered young Bahrainis with valuable vocational experience in the manufacturing sector, nurturing a strong foundation to build their career growth both within the organisation and beyond.
Foulath’s Graduate Training Programme supports the government’s national efforts in fostering a highly skilled and competitive workforce as per the mandates set forth by the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
Active participant
The company has been an active participant in the National Employment Programme, initiated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and has maintained a longstanding agreement with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and the Ministry of Labour to recruit fresh graduates.
Dilip George, Group CEO of Foulath Holding, said: “Foulath is motivated by an inherent responsibility to give back to the community. We have prioritised training and development of young, promising Bahraini talent as an essential component of our CSR efforts in line with the government’s national ambitions.
“Our training programme provides the relevant experience to equip a fresh graduate with the necessary skillset to facilitate their entry into the job market and meet the needs of employers in the industrial sector.”
Fresh graduates
Foulath’s Graduate Training Programme is open to fresh graduates from both public and private academic institutions. Trainees undergo 3 years of tailormade on-the-job training best suited to their individual needs, covering technical, soft skill and vocational training. If required, candidates also have the opportunity to obtain additional technical certifications from reputable institutions.
Bader Al Tamimi, General Manager of Human Resources and Administration at Foulath Holding, said: “Foulath has proudly integrated more than 160 graduates since the establishment of our training scheme across our various subsidiaries. This stands testament to the company’s ongoing commitment to empowering young Bahrainis and establishing a strong and capable workforce, especially in the industrial sector which is fast growing and transforming.”-- TradeArabia News Service
