Bahrain’s Gulf Aviation Academy wins key education award

Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), the training arm of Gulf Air Group, said it has been awarded the prestigious Bahrain Higher Education Award in recognition of its commitment to delivering high-quality aviation training programmes.
The award ceremony took place during the Bahrain International Airshow, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, from November 13 to 15, 2024.
The award highlights GAA's dedication to providing world-class education and training that meets international standards and contributes to the development of the aviation industry in Bahrain.
GAA's achievement is further underscored by the recognition of its key programmes by the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) by Education and Training Quality Authority.
The A320 Type Rating Course has been recognized at the Bachelor's degree level (Level 8), equipping pilots with the skills and knowledge needed to operate the A320 aircraft.
The Initial Cabin Crew Training programme achieved Diploma level recognition (Level 6), providing comprehensive training in safety, service, and emergency procedures for aspiring cabin crew members.
Furthermore, the ICAO 051 Air Traffic Control Basic Course has been recognised at the Associate Diploma level (Level 7), establishing a foundation for careers in air traffic control.
Finally, the ICAO 052 Aerodrome Control Course attained Bachelor's degree level recognition (Level 8), preparing individuals for the challenging role of aerodrome controller.
