Nexthink to manage UAE Health Ministry's IT infrastructure

UAE's Ministry of Health has selected Nexthink to manage its information technology (IT) infrastructure more efficiently and meet the strategic directives of the country's leadership.
It followed the adoption of advanced technologies such as the Smart Patient Portal and e-Services to ensure the continuity of healthcare services to patients and healthcare providers, which was line with the launch of the Smart Government initiative to eTransform the Dubai Government administrative services by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, said a statement.
The Ministry features a highly complex IT infrastructure comprised of 10,000 end-users (employees) in over 40 sites (administrative facilities, hospitals, clinics and prime medical centres) throughout the UAE, it said.
Mubaraka M Ali Ibrahim, director, Health Information Systems Department, Ministry of Health, UAE, said: “Nexthink’s IT analytics provides accurate data of our IT infrastructure. This is a critical element to ensure our services are running smoothly.
"Nexthink helps our IT team in solving problems as they occur and preventing the spread of incidents that could impact the level of service we provide to healthcare facilities and therefore the general population.”
Ali Alajme, IT director, MoH, said: “IT analytics have greatly helped us implement standardization in our environment.
“We are now able to accurately monitor our assets and understand how they are utilized in real-time. This has led to significant cost savings related to bandwidth, software and hardware.”
