Zulekha opens extended facility in Dubai
DUBAI, January 29, 2019
Zulekha Healthcare Group, which has been a part of the UAE healthcare landscape for over 25 years, has recently opened its extended facility in Dubai.
The facility is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technologies and expertise, keeping in line with the group’s motto of delivering high quality medical services to the regional and international patrons.
The healthcare market is growing from factors such as the widespread use of artificial intelligence to stem cell therapies and the growth of medical tourism. Zulekha Healthcare Group aims to lead the UAE’s healthcare digital transformation, and support the UAE Vision 2021 by providing world-class healthcare, the organisation said.
At Arab Health 2019, Zulekha Hospital will announce the collaboration with Okadoc, a healthtech company facilitating real-time appointments to enhance patient experiences. This strategic partnership will contribute to UAE patients’ healthcare experience through a unique, fully-integrated search and comparison online platform, it said.
The platform will be used for healthcare consultation and treatment services offering hassle-free, instant and real-time booking, rescheduling or cancelation of doctor appointments anytime, anywhere.
Adding to the technological advancements of delivering an excellent healthcare experience is the 24/7 intelligent medical calendar system from Okadoc, integrated with Zulekha Hospital’s Health Management Information System (HMIS). This will further assist patients to manage their bookings online, find doctors by location, expertise, availability and spoken language view detailed doctors profile, and receive appointment reminders, without any human intervention.
Further to this, the group’s SAP integration drives individual transitions in its people and processes resulting in inclusive progress. By up-scaling their technologies, the group is transcending from conventional to cutting-edge operations across all departments to increase productivity.
Managing director of Zulekha Healthcare Group Taher Shams said: “Last year at Arab Health we were looking forward to and speaking of our expansion in Dubai and I am happy to announce the successful completion. We are introducing a robotic pharmacy to the facility in order to improve efficiencies in administrative tasks, data collections and customer engagement.
“Adding to our recent technological advances with SAP integration in our operations, we also joined hands with Okadoc to provide hassle-free instant appointment booking services for our patients to ease their healing journey. Medical emergencies can strike at any time and we are here to help. We hope to be able to optimise our doctors’ schedules to a greater extent through this platform with this joint effort. We wish to extend our best wishes to the team” he added.
Okadoc is a Dubai-based healthtech company with the Middle East’s first platform to offer real-time online doctor appointment bookings for patients.
Fodhil Benturquia, CEO & founder of Okadoc, said: “Our partnership with Zulekha Healthcare Group is tangible proof of the added value that Okadoc provides to hospital and clinic providers in the UAE. This is demonstrated as they embark on their digital transformation journey in order to adapt existing booking appointment systems to the discerning needs and requirements of an increasingly digital-savvy population, and also in a market which ranks top in smart phone adoption globally.”
