Bayer continues cardiovascular disease awareness campaign in UAE
DUBAI, April 6, 2020
Bayer Middle East announced today the continuation of its cardiovascular disease awareness campaign that began in 2019.
In 2020, the company is focused on extending its awareness drive in the UAE as part of its continued efforts to raise public awareness around cardiovascular diseases, the importance of early heart health check-ups as well as highlighting the risk factors that can increase the age of individuals’ hearts.
This year’s initiative will include a range of educational content across a number of public channels to reach the general public as well as healthcare professionals.
Mohamed Galal, vice president and head of Bayer Middle East Consumer Health said: “After the success of our campaign in 2019 ‘Building Bridges to Heart Health’, we are committed to continue educating individuals across the region on cardiovascular disease prevention. We are working in collaboration with leading scientific, and industry partners to improve to find innovative approaches for patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases in the region.”
Cardiovascular diseases are disorders of the heart and blood vessels and are the leading cause of death globally, resulting in approximately 17.9 million deaths per year.
