Bahrain is hosting the first virtual dental conference in the region, which is the 5th Bahrain Dental Conference and Exhibition styled ‘DLS5 BAHRAIN’. 

 

The conference will be held remotely this year from November 4 to 8, 2020 by the BDA Centre for Medical Training in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Health and the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).

 

Dr Azhar Naseeb, Head of Scientific Committee-DLS Bahrain Head of Scientific Committee-DLS Bahrain, Sr Dental Consultant, and Chief, Clinical Trials & Continuing Professional Development Regulations Departments-National Health Regulatory Authority, Bahrain, said that “DLS5 BAHRAIN” is organising for the first time a virtual competition ‘Live E-Posters Meeting’ on advanced scientific research in the field of dentistry.

 

“The competition has so far managed to attract 80 research posters from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf states. Each winning research will receive a prize of BD500 each to encourage the participants,” Dr Naseeb said.

 

40 prominent speakers from Bahrain, the region, and the world will participate in DLS5 BAHRAIN. The conference includes an extensive schedule of lectures, seminars, and scientific discussions targeting dentists and assistants, dental hygienists, dental technicians, as well as several workshops.

 

The Conference and Exhibition are being held this year in partnership with many prestigious regional societies and universities such as the Saudi Society of Periodontology, the Saudi Dental Society, the Saudi Society for Restorative Dentistry, the Faculty of Dentistry at King Abdulaziz University, Imam Abdul Rahman Bin Faisal University, Riyadh ELM University, Saudi Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Saudi Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, International Association for Dental Research, Arabian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Kuwait Dental Association. -- Tradearabia News Service
