GSK, HealthHub to enhance access to medicine, treatment

Global science-led healthcare company GSK and HealthHub Clinics by Al-Futtaim, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Healthy Ageing Programme. This will function across three major pillars: Health Literacy, Prevention and Access.
The collaboration with HealthHub Clinics aligns with GSK’s aim to promote healthy ageing in order to improve the quality of life of people and communities within the UAE. As leaders in the healthcare space, GSK and HealthHub Clinics have developed the Healthy Ageing programme to widen access to GSK innovative and quality medicines and vaccines in the UAE.
As part of the agreement, GSK and HealthHub Clinics by Al-Futtaim will also work together to ensure the successful launch of the Adult Vaccination Awareness Campaign in the UAE as a means of working towards achieving the healthy ageing and quality of care goals set out in the UAE’s health vision, bringing closer GSK’s ambition to positively impact health of more than 2.5 billion people within the next ten years.
Quality of care
Gizem Akalin, PhD, Vice President for GSK Gulf, said: “GSK is strongly committed to enhancing the quality of care in the UAE in order to deter progression of preventable diseases through promoting healthier ageing and achieve better outcomes across all age groups.
