NPHIES launched in KSA to share health information
RIYADH, October 30, 2023
The Saudi Minister of Health, Fahd Al-Jalajil has launched the National Platform for Health and Insurance Exchange Services (NPHIES), which aims to provide health data to beneficiaries and share it with healthcare service providers.
The platform represents a qualitative leap in the healthcare sector and is part of Saudi Vision 2030 projects. It serves as a sharing health information platform among service providers and allows the creation of a unified and comprehensive health file for beneficiaries, contributing to the quality of healthcare services and enabling healthcare practitioners to make better medical decisions.
The launch took place during Global Health Exhibition 2023, from October 29 to 31, with the participation of Minister of Investment, Eng Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, and in the presence of Ahmed Mohammed Al-Suwaiyan governor of the Saudi Digital Government Authority.
Quality and efficiency
The Saudi Minister of Health stated that the Saudi government’s support has contributed to improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare services. He also reiterated the Ministry of Health's commitment to enhancing healthcare services through various projects, initiatives and digital solutions in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership.
NPHIES was launched in collaboration with the Council of Health Insurance, the Saudi Health Council, and the National Health Information Centre. The platform's main objective is to facilitate the exchange of private health information for beneficiaries and to share data.--TradeArabia News Service
