Harsco Infrastructure switches to SGB brand again
DUBAI, February 5, 2015
Harsco Infrastructure has announced that with effect from October 2014, it has changed its branding back to SGB in the UAE.
However, the trading name of the company, Quebeisi SGB LLC, remains the same, said a statement from the company.
The return of branding back to SGB, follows new ownership in November 2013. Since then the previous Harsco Infrastructure division has been a subsidiary of Brand Energy and Infrastructure Services (BEIS), headquartered in Kennesaw, US.
BEIS comprises a series of tradition-rich companies that rank among the market leaders in their respective business segments and regions.
The SGB offering includes: industrial services incorporating: scaffolding, insulation and coating, refractory and fireproofing services, with a focus on the chemical and petrochemical sector to support customers with ongoing maintenance work as well as capital projects and shutdowns.
The company also offers construction services in wall and slab formwork, shoring systems, scaffolding and safety equipment for a wide range of infrastructure, residential, commercial and industrial projects.
The combined product ranges of Aluma Systems, SGB and Hunnebeck – which are already well established in the region - form the formwork and shoring offering for the company previously known as Harsco infrastructure.
This extends from engineering and site logistics, via cleaning and repair, to foreman service, which is aimed at assisting users in the safe and productive application of the equipment.
On the name change, Alexander (Sandy) Maxwell, the regional managing director for Middle East, Africa and India, said: "With this move, the business returns to its longstanding SGB tradition dating back to 1919. SGB has accrued more than 35 years of brand recognition in this market as a trusted and well-respected name synonymous with innovative formwork products, industrial services and access solutions."
He said the company received an overwhelming response from both the industry, and the customers after it switched back to SGB brand.-TradeArabia News Service
