Maritime force to tackle piracy problems in the Gulf

MANAMA, August 21, 2015

Calls have gone out to establish a special maritime force to tackle growing problems of pirates attacking fishermen working in the Gulf region. Bahrain Fishermen Union chief executive Mohamed Al Faraj supported a proposal submitted to the United Nations by India-based non-governmental organisation Tamil Nadu Fishermen Development Trust (TNFIDET), said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
