Omani Products Exhibition (Opex), which recently concluded in the Iranian capital, provided a unique platform to highlight opportunities to boost business relations between Oman and Iran, said a report.

The event succeeded in attracting businessmen and investors from various parts of Iran eager to get familiar with a variety of Omani products on offer. The meetings between Omani businessmen and their Iranian counterparts were organised on the sidelines of the event, while a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between the two sides as well, added the Oman Daily Observer report.

The event observed participation from Omani firms representing various industries including natural resources, minerals, wood products, manufacturing products, furniture, food, medical and pharmaceuticals, fertilisers, plastic and metal equipment, perfume, leather, and logistics, it said.

A number of government bodies, and small and medium enterprises, were in attendance as well, added the report.
