Giant UPS carrier makes debut landing at Dubai World Central
DUBAI, May 2, 2019
Global freight carrier UPS has announced a temporary new route for its largest aircraft - the Boeing 747-8F freighter that landed for the first time yesterday (May 1) in Dubai World Central airport (DWC).
With the strategic investment of 28 new 747-8 jumbo jets, UPS offers sustainable lift on long-range international routes with a greater payload and a reduction of fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
In anticipation of the 45-day long renovation of the southern runway at Dubai International (DXB), UPS has been hard at work to ensure a smooth contingency plan whilst maintaining excellent service levels.
With the ongoing support of various airport partners and a focus on connecting flight to flight with great efficiency, the time in transit delivery announced to customers was successfully maintained and in some cases enhanced. – TradeArabia News Service
