Oppo recognised as ‘Phone Manufacturer of the Year’
DUBAI, August 6, 2019
Oppo, a leading global smartphone brand, was recently recognised by comparison site WhistleOut as the Phone Manufacturer of the Year for 2019.
Additionally, the Oppo Reno 5G was also awarded Best Phone Design for 2019, said a statement from the company.
The WhistleOut Awards recognise and highlight the companies within the Australian telecommunications market, which have consistently provided the best products, services and plans across a range of categories.
This year, the WhistleOut phone awards were judged by a team of editorial experts who looked at price, performance, battery, screen, camera, design and overall user experience of smartphones to pick the best smartphones and manufacturers of 2019.
Alex Choros, managing editor at WhistleOut, believes Oppo is transforming the smartphone market and genuinely offers Australians a unique proposition.
Choros said: “Oppo has matured immensely over the last 12 months. The company isn't trying to be anyone else, instead carving out its own identity as both a smartphone manufacturer and innovator. Oppo doesn't just follow trends, it sets them.”
Andy Shi, president of Oppo MEA, believes the recent award wins show just how far Oppo has come, thanks to its focus on smartphone innovation and design.
Shi said: “We’re extremely proud to have won these two awards from WhistleOut. It just goes to show our focus on redefining smartphone design and pushing the boundaries of what is possible is really resonating with consumers. To be the best phone manufacturer of the year is an amazing result and is a testament to the entire team in developing some of the best phones on the market today.”
“We know consumers want a full-screen display, good battery life and beautifully designed phones. The Oppo Reno 5G embodies this, offering a unique full-screen display thanks to its innovative shark-fin design camera, a huge battery with VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology and is one of the best performing smartphones on the 5G network. We look forward to continuing to bring new devices to market that challenge the traditional design of smartphones,” Shi added.
Oppo will continue to push the boundaries of smartphone design and innovation. Just this week, the smartphone manufacturer announced its latest advancement in smartphone design - the ‘Waterfall Screen’, which offers users a complete full-screen viewing experience thanks to its curved display, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
