P&O Marinas, a DP World company, has announced that Mina Rashid will be the venue for ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations) World Marina Conference, to be held later this year, in Dubai, UAE.

With the main theme being “Marinas empowering tourism and economies”, the conference will be held from October 13 to 15.

The event will focus on regulatory frameworks and barriers, best investment practices, changing the public perception of a marina, new technologies, as well as climate change and environment sustainability just to name a few.

The conference will connect East to West and North to South, offering the region’s young, yet vibrant marina industry to share expertise, innovation and technology with developed and traditional yachting markets.

Mohammed Al Mannaei, CEO of P&O Marinas and chairman of Raseina, Dubai Maritime City Authority’s platform linking Dubai’s marinas, said: “With this announcement of the date and venue for the event, our countdown begins towards making ICOMIA World Marina Conference 2020 an unforgettable event for marina enthusiasts and a landmark for the UAE’s marina community.”
