French elevator group Sodimas gears up for The Big 5
DUBAI, September 6, 2021
Sodimas Lifts, a leading independent French manufacturer of elevators, will be showcasing its full range of designed lifts, elevator components and escalators at The Big 5 Show, the largest construction and contracting event in the Middle East region, which kicks off on September 12 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The four-day construction expo will offer an unmatched platform for the global construction community and business leaders to connect, explore opportunities, forge partnerships and strike deals, in efforts to boost the construction sector’s recovery in the post-Covid-19 era, said the event organisers.
With over 45 years of experience in the elevator industry, Sodimas offers a full range of products, including complete elevators, escalators and elevator components that reflect the French elegance and uniquely human design that perfectly meets the expectations of prestigious buildings, hotels and shopping centres in the UAE and the GCC region.
Sodimas said it seeks to make the best use of The Big 5 show to network with global construction industry leaders and promote its first-class products and distinctively designed lifts, elevator components and escalators using cutting-edge technology in compliance with the highest European standards and specifications.
Through its participation, the French elevator company aims to connect with industry experts and professionals to identify their needs in the upcoming period, so as to meet the growing demand for lifts and elevator equipment in the Gulf market in view of the overwhelming number of urban development projects currently under construction in the GCC countries, it added.
Highlighting the importance of its participation in The Big 5 show, Karim Fnides, Export Sales Area Manager at Sodimas, said: "The Big 5 is the region’s biggest and most comprehensive trade show for the building and construction industry. The show is expected to attract thousands of industry experts and visitors which will help boost the construction sector’s recovery in the post-Covid-19 era."
The Big 5, he stated, is being held at a time when the Arabian Gulf region is executing several giant projects, especially Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
"We aim to leverage the expected growth in the GCC’s construction sector, simply because a recovery in the construction industry would be a catalyst for the region’s elevator and escalator market. This will increase demand for our products, including elevator equipment, components and escalators," observed Fnides.
He pointed out that Sodimas was focussing on the GCC region, which is witnessing a boom in infrastructure development.
"We are combining our products and services to make elevator journeys more user-friendly, more enjoyable and more sustainable, meeting the changing needs of infrastructure, buildings and services for years to come," he added.
According to him, Sodimas seeks through its presence in the region’s largest construction event to build sustainable partnerships with major companies in the GCC.
Citing the partnership forged with Saudi Atlas Elevators, Fnides said it was aimed at meeting the growing demand for elevators and elevator equipment in the Saudi market, given the overwhelming number of urban development projects currently under construction in Saudi Arabia.
Founded in 1975, the French company has left its mark on the history of the elevator industry, with its products manufactured and designed in a manner that can be adapted to all architectural styles due to the quality of the materials used and their carefully designed finishing.-TradeArabia News Service
