Sohar Port resumes normal operations after cyclone

Sohar Port and Freezone has resumed maritime services at the port following the end of the climatic conditions brought about by the tropical cyclone Shaheen, said Mark Geilenkirchen, CEO of the free zone.
Sohar Port will continue to maintain its vital role in handling export and import materials, Geilenkirchen was quoted as saying in an Oman News Agency (ONA) report.
Geilenkirchen said that no damages to the port’s infrastructure or injuries to employees were reported. He affirmed that Sohar Port and Free Zone company places the safety and security of its employees and partners on top of its priorities.
