Signify, a world leader in lighting, has announced that the company has joined the Made in Saudi initiative by registering its manufacturing units under the program, including assembly lines located in the kingdom.

 

With innovation being at the forefront of its operations globally, Signify provides a full range of tailor-made, high-quality, and energy-efficient lighting solutions across the Middle East. 

 

The Made in Saudi program is a part of the Kingdom’s National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) initiatives launched to support and achieve the goals set under Vision 2030. 

 

Starting its operations as a specialized local manufacturer in 1979, a key component of the company’s remit is to continue working closely with Saudi government bodies to manufacture high-quality energy-efficient lighting products complying with the latest international and local standards suitable for all public and professional spaces. 

 

In Saudi Arabia, the company continues to embrace and advance diversity and inclusion practices across its offices as a part of its global strategy. To continue the momentum in the Kingdom, Signify had set up a factory in 2002 that is fully operated and managed by Saudi women, said the statement from Signify.

 

The factory has been noted as one of the best places to work for women in the country and Signify has been commended on multiple occasions as a leader in hiring and promoting women in Saudi Arabia, it added. 

 

"With more than four decades of presence in the Kingdom and production of millions of lighting units, we are at the forefront of innovation and provide tailor-made energy-efficient lighting solutions to our customers in the country," said Abdul Rahman M. Khairallah, CEO of Signify’s operation in Saudi Arabia. 

"Each year, the majority of our locally manufactured products are sold within the country and, we are proud to have joined the Made in Saudi program. We believe that our local operations help the Kingdom in achieving its vision to establish Saudi Arabia as an industrial powerhouse," he stated. 

 

Honored as an industry leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for three consecutive years since 2017, Signify announced achieving carbon neutrality for all its operations in September 2020 , as part of its Brighter Lives, Better World sustainability program.

 

With manufacturing facilities producing energy-efficient products and lab tests conducted locally to meet local and international standards, Signify is titled as a certified Energy Savings Company.
