East Pipes wins key supply contract for Saudi water project

Saudi-based East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry has announced that it has been awarded a contract worth SR324 million ($86.2 million) by Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) to supply steel pipes for one of the kingdom's key water transmission projects.
Founded in 2010 at Dammam in the kingdom's Eastern Province, East Pipes Integrated Company is a leading manufacturer of helical submerged arc welded (HSAW) pipes.
As per the deal, it will be responsible for the manufacture and supply of steel pipes within the next seven months to help boost the efficiency of kingdom's water network, said East Pipes Integrated Company in its filing to Saudi bourse Tadawul.
This contract win comes close on the heels of two similar orders from SWCC this year worth a total of SR987 million ($263 million).
The financial impact of this contract is expected to be materialized in the fiscal year 2022 - 2023, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
