GPIC wins top Arab Network for CSR award

Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), a leading petrochemicals company based in Bahrain, has won the top prize in the Large Business Category at the Arab Network for Corporate Social Responsibility Awards ceremony.
The awards recognise excellence in applying best practices and encouraging sustainable development.
The winners were honoured at a ceremony in Dubai, held under the patronage of Eng. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Bin Saqr Al-Qasimi, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Aviation Department and Member of the Executive Council of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah.
Habiba Al-Marashi, Founder and CEO of the Network, praised GPIC and the distinguished and innovative initiatives it is implementing in relation to supporting and developing sustainability, noting at the same time the generous support that the company provides to the activities of the Arab Network for Corporate Social Responsibility.
Engineer Yasser Abdulrahim Alabbasi, CEO of GPIC, expressed his happiness and pride in the company’s success in winning first prize, and thanked those in charge of the Arab Network for Corporate Social Responsibility and the members of the independent arbitration committee, for the integrity of the evaluation process.
The Network Awards aim to inspire businesses to adopt social responsibility, ethical practices and transparency. The award also seeks to explore the latest developments and standards related to social responsibility and sustainability at a regional level. Over the past years, the awards have honoured companies and entities that demonstrate exceptional leadership and great dedication in the field of social responsibility and sustainability elements.
