Ramco Norway secures long-term OCTG contract with Equinor
OSLO, July 15, 2024
Ramco Norway, specialists in the preparation, inspection, surface treatment, and preservation of OCTG (oil country tubular goods), has secured a long-term contract with Equinor. This provides the company with stable employment and strategic growth opportunities, says CEO Arild Moe, from the headquarters in Florø, Norway.
"Ramco Norway has been awarded 80% of the volume of oil and gas pipes running from Equinor at Fjord Base in Florø to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). From Sandnessjøen and Hammerfest, we have been allocated 100% of the volume. This means we are establishing a new department at Polarbase in Hammerfest, a supply base for oil and gas activities in the Barents Sea. It's strategically important for us to be close to the Barents Sea, where the growth will occur," Moe says.
With headquarters in Florø and operating bases in Stavanger, Sandnessjøen, and soon in Hammerfest, Ramco provides services to all major operators and pipe manufacturers. Ramco has been preparing pipes for offshore operations for over 25 years, and with today's new contract, it is guaranteed work for the next 5 years, with an option for 2 + 2 years, until 2033.
Important for Ramco
This is important for Ramco as a company and especially for its 110 employees and the local communities in which it operates.
This is the third time Ramco has entered a long-term contract with the energy giant Equinor, having had good cooperation since signing the first contract in 2008. The renewed trust is testament to the high quality of work Ramco delivers.
Ramco operates in a competitive market and has gone through a turbulent time with the pandemic and global unrest. The long-term contract with Equinor ensures stability, enabling the company to invest in its employees and facilities. Constantly building on its expertise in preparing pipes for the oil and gas industry, Ramco is committed to developing the technology further with a goal of ensuring cost-effectiveness, safety, and sustainability. Ramco looks forward to further development and creating jobs along the entire Norwegian coast, from Stavanger to Hammerfest.--TradeArabia News Service
