Nawras plans rebrand to Ooredoo

MUSCAT, September 14, 2014

Nawras, an Omani communications provider owned by Ooredoo, has announced that it will rebrand to Ooredoo by the end of this year to fully integrate into one of the fastest growing global telecommunication brands.

Nawras customers will enjoy added benefits from being part of the global group, which connects over 95 million customers across 15 countries in the Middle East, North Africa and South-East Asia.

The rebrand reinforces the company’s long-term commitment to provide the best value and offers to customers in Oman and investing in the country’s future. It will further bring consistency to the customer experience, which has always central to the company, it said.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Ooredoo chairman, said: “This is an exciting moment for the entire Ooredoo family as we welcome one of our most innovative operators to the new brand. Communications in Oman has developed rapidly and will now enter a new chapter as we work together to deliver the best end-to-end service quality to our customers.”

“With this rebrand, we will continue our commitment to provide the best value to our customers and invest in the best available technology,” said Sayyid Amjad Mohammed Al Busaidi, chairman, Nawras. – TradeArabia News Service
