BNP at Gitex attracts 700 visitors in 3 days
DUBAI, December 10, 2020
The Bahraini National Pavilion (BNP) at Gitex 2020 Dubai attracted about 700 visitors representing 20 countries in three days.
The visitors were introduced to the services, products, and innovations provided by 24 Bahraini companies working in the ICT sector.
This year, Gitex is the only major global tech show in 2020 that is happening live despite the Covid-19 pandemic, but amid integrated precautionary measures.
The Bahraini National Pavilion at Gitex is organised for the 14th year in a row by The Bahrain Society for Technology Companies (BTECH) and WorkSmart for Events Management, and in a strategic partnership with the Labor Fund "Tamkeen".
Ubaydli Ubaydli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for Technology Companies, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout witnessed by the Pavilion in light of Covid-19 pandemic, as visitors and exhibitors were allowed to conduct fruitful commercial negotiations and take precautionary measures into account at the same time.
“The number of visitors affirms the success of the Bahraini National Pavilion at Gitex 2020, Which represents a favorable opportunity for the Bahraini exhibiting companies to promote their business, enter into commercial deals, export their products and services, and obtain exclusive agencies to represent major international technology companies in Bahrain,”
Ubaydli added.
CEO of WorkSmart, Ahmed Al Hujairy, said that choosing the location of the Bahraini National Pavilion in a strategic place within the exhibition and next to major exhibitors and prominent ICT companies contributed to the increase in the number of visitors this year, in addition to the organisers' great efforts in designing the pavilion, Booths, logistical support for exhibitors, and others.
"We anticipate an increase in the number of visitors who are interested in learning about the Bahraini ICT companies participating in the Bahraini National Pavilion at Gitex, in terms of projects and systems that reflect the development of the ICT industry in Bahrain.
