Hoxna aims to build Earth's 'digital twin'
LONDON, August 11, 2022
UK-based technology company Hoxna intends to build a complete replica of our planet in a traversable metaverse using its advanced AI and the power of the people to capture the wonders and beauty of the planet.
Unlike other projects, the Hoxna digital twin is open source and anyone can be a part of the project using a simple image capturing equipment, the company said.
"Our mission is to create a digital twin of Earth, blurring the lines between the physical and digital, powered by a blockchain built upon the physical real estate market. We call it Synthetic Reality," says Hoxna on its website.
Corporations have, for many years, been providing people with a digital experience of the world. People can roam about in cities and exotic locations on their computers and mobile devices without leaving the comfort of their homes. However, there are limitations such as coverage, availability of image capturing equipment, and priority of localities, says the company.
Hoxna breaks these bonds by allowing its users to be a part of the digitization process, thanks to its modern AI. Any user can take images and upload them to the Hoxna servers. Its modern artificial intelligence will stitch these together to create a 3D explorable environment.
When the process will open to the public, anyone can take part in it. The aim is to break down the barriers that have hindered for-profit corporations in the past. With no limitations set such as what areas to prioritise or the need to invest in hardware, the Hoxna version of Earth is not only cheaper, it will be able to recreate the planet faster through crowdsourcing.
Hoxna is on a mission to use hard tech and AI to help the public build digital and audio/visual experiences without the dependency on big corporations. The digital twin of the Earth will become a new platform for integrating new AR/VR technologies, the company says. - TradeArabia News Service
