ICT projects worth $9.3 m discussed at Bahrain meeting

Information and communication technology (ICT) projects worth BD3.5 million ($9.3 million), including purchase requests and government system developments, were discussed at a key meeting in Bahrain that aimed at enhancing IT services.
The 72nd Information and Communication Technology Governance Committee (ICTGC) meeting, held via video conference and chaired by Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, also focused on the iGA’s Government Innovation Hub.
The centre that will be established at the iGA’s headquarters, will serve as a central hub for guiding government entities in employing technology to overcome challenges and explore opportunities, while focusing on enhancing efficiency and quality of services, reducing cost, and keeping pace with rapidly advancing technologies such as AI, augmented reality, Blockchain and others. – TradeArabia News Service
